With highly demanding jobs and a more competitive work environment, it seems like we're always bringing work into our family lives. Spending quality time with your kids is important, especially if travelling is a critical part of your job. For many women especially, juggling work with family can be a challenge. Fortunately, many companies today are recognising the importance of providing facilities and support to working parents – they're supplying day care services and telecommuting equipment so mums and dads can work at home.

Another trend that many working parents are experimenting with is combining business and family trips. There are many obvious advantages – you'll spend more time with your kids and at least part of the costs (ie your own travel to and from your destination) will be supplemented by the company.
