Most people nowadays prefer to shop online due to the convenience it provides. For this reason most individuals who want to venture on a selling business opt to start an online selling business instead of setting up a brick and mortar store.

There are many advantages that online retail business provides instead of selling through physical stores. One of the greatest benefits is the low start up cost.

Due to the numerous e-commerce services available in the market today, you just need low startup costs and overhead.

Another thing is the convenience it provides to the sellers. You can just stay at home and attend to your online business on weekends or at nights. This is important if you have a day job. It is also easier and faster to set up.

There are many reasons for this. Some people have lost jobs in the recession. Others have practical reasons why they need to work from home, such as health issues, childcare concerns, etc. Mostly though, they choose to work from home for the sheer exhilaration of earning money directly from their own efforts, and without having a boss to tell them what to do.
